Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
The Index Pilot (we, us) is an automatic search-engine indexing service operated at theindexpilot.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we never sell your data, and you can delete it at any time.
Information we collect
- Account information. Creating an account or subscribing stores your name, email, and sign-in identifier.
- Site and submission data. To do its job, The Index Pilot stores the domains you connect, the sitemap URLs it watches, and a log of pages it has submitted to search engines on your behalf.
Google account access
When you connect Google Search Console, The Index Pilot requests access via Google's OAuth consent flow, limited to two purposes:
- Viewing the list of Search Console properties (sites) your Google account manages, so you can choose which to connect.
- Submitting URLs from those sites to Google's Indexing API on your behalf.
We do not access your email, contacts, files, or any other Google data. Access tokens are stored encrypted and are used only to perform the actions above. You can revoke The Index Pilot's access at any time from your Google account permissions page or by disconnecting inside The Index Pilot. Revoking takes effect immediately.
The Index Pilot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use information
- To operate the service: watching your sitemaps and submitting your pages to search engines.
- To communicate with you about your account, the service, and its launch.
- To process payments (handled by Stripe, which means we never see or store full card numbers).
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not access sites or data beyond what you explicitly connect.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Delete your account (or email us) and your personal information, connected-site data, and stored tokens are removed.
Third-party services
We use a small number of processors to run The Index Pilot: hosting infrastructure, Stripe for payments, and the search engines' own APIs (Google, Microsoft Bing, and IndexNow participants) to submit your pages. Each receives only what is necessary for its function.
